Although this missive reiterates the expansion of power asserted by Baraka Monster in his last declaration, it is worth noting that the extent of actual sustainable increase in range is likely quite limited. Wolf Town was able to carve out a space free of the Monster Hunters, and other agents of the local ruling class, because it had one superhero. Baraka Monster and those inspired by him may very well be able to make some short-term impact in a nearby neighborhood (or at Big H. headquarters). However, it is hard to imagine him extending his dominion and maintaining it long-term. Wolf Town is a triangle ten or so blocks on a side. He can practically jump across it. The point of all this being that I do not believe our worries increase just because this powerful minor league player causes some ripples in local politics. Despite his proven disdain for the maintenance of interdimensional boundaries, and his support by fringe radical groups like the Unravelers, he’s never actually done anything to threaten the fabric of reality aside from the ThingTown event. I aver that was unique, and his focus & powers are & shall remain entirely terrestrial. – T.Q. Dear Big H., First off, we echo everything Baraka Monster said. We and our legions will accompany him and his legions to Fentown. Any day now. We’ve been gathering and mustering in our secret sabbats. Convening in our peer to peer meshnets, communing on the aetheric plane, or just building relationships face to face in broad daylight. Affinity groups webbing into solidarity networks and coalitions of solidarity networks. And yes, our tendrils have sprouted beyond Wolf Town. Soon, everywhere. Not just on the material plane, but on the aetheric. You toiled over your web for a century, building it with blood magic, chicanery, and graft. We have built ours in weeks and already we rival you. Because we are many, joined by common need. Whereas you are nothing but an endless pit of insatiable Self with no ability to build except by force. You wretch. And now everyone hates you. The word is out about ThingTown. Everyone sees the renaissance brewing in Wolf Town since Baraka removed the Pylon. And so, on the material plane, unified against you we have everyone from the librarians, to the Retro-Maoists, to covens of Second Wave Inside-Outsiders like us; from gutter anarchists to the middle-class socdems & demsocs; and of course almost all the Fen and Chinese in Fentown (not counting their respective Chambers of Commerce, which of course do not count, they are not the people they are the enemy of the people). Meanwhile, on the aetheric plane, we Unravelers see the vulnerable nodes in your aetheric web, and we stand poised, ready to strike. We’re going to unravel your whole goddamn thing. P.S. By the by, you came to our attention not via Baraka Monster, but because we saw you conferring recently with those assholes the True Guardians of Bifrost. What the fuck are you up to with them, hmm?
With the situation in Oakland close to the boiling point, you can always count on the Unravelers Curse-Coven to turn up the heat.
See you next Wednesday,
